House extension in Wolverhampton

The job
A double-storey rear extension in Wolverhampton, finished downstairs as an open-plan kitchen and lounge.
We started with trial pits to check the ground, then the footings. The floor went in with insulation under the slab and underfloor heating on top. Steels carry the opening into the house, and the roof joists went on with a lantern to bring light into the room.
The finished space has an open-plan kitchen with a black island, a lounge and bifolds onto the garden.
