House extension in Palmers Green

The job
A single-storey rear extension on a terraced house in Palmers Green, north London. The new room is a kitchen and dining space.
The main structural step was taking out the back wall. We held the house up on props while the steels went in, then built the new walls around them. Roof lights over the kitchen bring the light in from above.
The finished room has black-framed glazed doors and steps down to the patio. The photographs follow the job from the house as it was to the finished room.
